Rhi graduated from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2008 with a degree in Health Science and then promptly packed up her life and moved with Jared to Alaska. She completed her undergraduate studies with the intent of pursuing medical school and had many different specialties she was considering at that time. She and Jared had a 5-year plan to move out of Alaska to allow her to pursue this dream. However, Alaska has a way of hanging onto its residents and the opportunities that arose have kept her here well beyond the 5-year plan.
Rhi had a fundamental role in the initial brainstorming, creation, and operation of Odyssey Family Practice. The passion she conveyed was instrumental in helping acquire the funding needed in the early days of Odyssey. She continues to provide integral support in an administrative role and adds the perfect amount of feminine touch that Odyssey needs. This touch is seen in the décor, compassionate social media posts, and much of the behind-the-scenes attention that the staff appreciates.
All that being said, motherhood is the most important role to Rhi. She is the mother of four beautiful children, two boys and two girls. She loves watching them grow into their personalities while highlighting their strengths. She enjoys one-on-one trips with the kids to Universal Studios or simple coffee dates. She loves babies and looks for any opportunity to hold a baby or babysit just for fun. This passion for babies translates well to her role as the acting board Secretary for the Maternal Alloimmunization Foundation. This is a non-profit group that advocates for and provides support to families affected by maternal alloimmunizations. Their mission is to help prevent stillbirth and neonatal morbidity/mortality through supporting mothers and providing education with intent to improve prenatal healthcare practices.
Rhi does miss Pennsylvania and looks forward to the return visits to hang out with family. She enjoys reading with a goal of 30+ books a year. She is a Swifty and proud of it. Rhi also enjoys fitness, clean eating, warm weather and the beach, coffee + tea, exploring new recipes, and hosting murder mystery parties for the office.
