ABOUT ODYSSEY FAMILY PRACTICE

Odyssey Family Practice was a dream brought to life by Jared and Rhi Wallace. Jared was determined to take control of his destiny after diligently serving the Kenai Peninsula community for 10 years as a PA-C. He wanted to bring a family practice to the Kenai Peninsula that was centered around integrity, honesty, trust, with a patient-centered approach to healthcare. Through blood, sweat, and tears, Jared has created just that.

The creation of Odyssey Family Practice was a humble one. Jared was an extraordinary PA-C but did not have any business experience and after being turned down for a business loan multiple times, he finally found one that would grant him a loan with a co-signer. Without thinking twice Jared’s father, Scott Wallace, co-signed the first loan for Odyssey Family Practice. Scott and Janet had no doubt in their son’s ability to make his dreams come true and have faithfully stood by his side every step of the way with their unwavering support. Devastatingly, Scott passed away in March of 2023 but his hard work ethic, determination, respect, and kind smile live on through Jared which radiates at Odyssey. 

Faced with a multitude of challenges in the first couple years of business from living from pay check to paycheck to not knowing if he’d be able to guarantee his staffs payroll, to the detrimental hardships of Covid, to his first 2 billing teams costing him close to 100 thousand dollars, Jared has persevered through it all with the support of many. This small-town family practice is the true definition of Odyssey. Now 4 years later, Odyssey Family Practice is a thriving destination for top quality medical treatment. We now have3 full time providers, 1 per diem, and plans to bring on 2 new providers by the end of 2023. Odyssey Family Practice is constantly growing and the office will be doubling in square footage by 2024 which will allow more services to be provided to the community.
